  Frequently Asked  Questions

1.) What is the difference between a Silk Press and a Blowout?

  • There is not much difference. It is mostly terminology. It varies from person to person. Each service includes a shampoo, blow dry and style. There is a minor detail to be wrapped and sat under the dryer for a few minutes.

2.) How do I reschedule an appointment? 

  • Once you are logged into your client profile; click on your profile circle and then "My Bookings". You should then see your upcoming appointments; click the down arrow to the right and you should see the options to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This also transfers your deposit, so another is not needed.

3.) Why do I no longer receive text message reminders?

  • When booking your appointment, you are able to check the box when entering your information to receive an SMS reminder 24 hours before your session starts. HOWEVER, you still automatically receive email reminders for you appointment.

4.) What methods of payment do you accept?

  • I accept all major credit/debit cards and cash. I also accept Cashapp, Zelle, as well as Apple Pay and Google/Samsung Pay. Also request cash tips where possible and greatly appreciate it. 

5.) How long do I have to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

  • I kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. You will not be able to modify your appointment if the time is less than that. Your deposit will be forfeited if the changes have not been made in that time frame.

6.) What happens if I am running late to my appointment?

  • I do try my best to be on time for each appointment. However, I do allow a 15 minute grace period to arrive. If you are outside of that time, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited. In some cases, I may run behind and I try my best to let each of you know ahead of time. I just ask for your patience. Thank you !

7.) How far in advance can I book an appointment with you?

  • Openings are available 30 days in advance. I highly recommend booking in advance because they go fast! Especially, around the holidays!

8.) How long will it take to have my hair done?

  • I would not recommend expecting to be out by a certain time. The service time listed with each service is a general time, but understand that each person is different. Some things happen where your service may take a little bit longer. I would not recommend scheduling any appointments directly after. Allow room for a slight change of time.

9.) Will the price of my service go down if I shampoo and blow dry my own hair?

  • Because each service includes your hair being cleaned, the service amount remains the same. All that is required is for you to show up to your appointment and your stylist will handle the rest!

10.) I forgot to give you my loyalty card to punch. Can you get 2 punches next time?

  • No. It is the client's responsibility to keep up with and bring punch card to appointment. It is 1 punch per appointment. Make sure you bring it to take advantage of the incentives for being a loyal customer!

11.) I filled out the 'Contact Us' form, did my appointment get scheduled?

  • No. The "Contact Us" form does not schedule an appointment. It has been designed for clients to ask questions prior to booking an appointment. Responses are made via email. So please provide a good email to respond to.

  • To book an appointment, click "Book Now" and select the correct service, date and time. See you then!

12.) I want a haircut, not a trim. Is it cheaper?

  • No. It does not matter how much isbeing taken off, the hair is still being cut. A trim vs a cut simply refers to the amount of hair that needs to be taken. That length will be determined by you and your stylist beforehand.
